Math Friends

I stumbled across a group of remarkable individuals who left an indelible impression on me.

From the outset, they struck me as a crew of eccentric and unconventional thinkers.

Prior to meeting them, I was a physics major, content to navigate the complex world of equations and theories. However, after spending time with them, my perspective shifted dramatically.

It all started when I was walking out of a math office hour, and I caught a glimpse of a well-lit room filled with individuals who looked like they were either geniuses or madmen. As soon as I entered, I was bombarded with questions about my choice of major. They gave me friendly criticism for not pursuing math, which they believed to be the most hardcore subject out there.

To my astonishment, they revealed that Differential-Equations, the last math class I had taken, was merely the tip of the iceberg when it came to advanced math. I left the room with my head spinning and a burning desire to learn more about these enigmatic individuals and the subject that captivates them.

I quickly signed up for advanced math courses, where I was introduced to proofs and logic, and delved into topics such as real analysis and topology. My reliance on WolframAlpha diminished as I developed a deep respect for the mathematics that forms the foundation of physics.

The experience was transformative, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to interact with such a brilliant and inspiring group of people.
